Hello, my name is Jill Wales - welcome to my website: 'Counselling in Sheffield'.

Especially now, many of us are struggling to cope alone; we may be feeling more emotional or anxious, with concerns around our health, work or personal relationships.  

It is so important, especially now, that we have someone to reach out to for support.

Counselling can offer you that support in coping with difficulties around anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, loss, grief, anger, relationships, abuse or addiction.

I offer specialist counselling support both face to face and through online Zoom sessions.

About Me

I have nearly 15 years' experience working as a counsellor; within mental health, relationship counselling, drug and alcohol services, domestic abuse, employment support and the emergency services.  I currently work independently in private practice.

I am Accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy; where I work within their professional and ethical framework.

How Counselling Helps

Counselling gives you a safe, accepting, understanding space; where you can be heard, without being shamed, judged, or rejected.

Through counselling  you can explore your defences of overthinking, criticising, blocking out, or denying, to make different choices that honour your needs.

Through counselling you can also safely explore how past events or relationships have shaped you and learn new ways of responding to yourself and others.

Through counselling I will focus on and value your experiences and support you in strengthening your connection with your self and others'.
